Biltong soup

  • 80 g Butter
  • 160 g flour
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ½ tsp Ground Coriander
  • 300 g Milk
  • 3 Tbsp beef / vegetable stock paste
  • 1 liter of water
  • 160 g Cheddar cheese
  • 100 g Biltong powder
  • 100 g sliced biltong
  • 80 g cream
  1. Grate 160g of cheddar cheese

  2. Mix biltong and cheese

  3. Melt butter and add the flour, at this stage put the biltong cheese and butter and flour mixture into a pot on the stove.

  4. Add pepper, nutmeg, coriander, milk, water & stock paste, now cook for 15 minute

  5. Serve immediately & garnish with remaining biltong slices2 tbsp butter
